Job Title: Assistant General Manager
Location: San Antonio, TX
What Matters Most:
We are seeking an Assistant General Manager of support the General Manager of the Service Center in the leadership and implementation of the plant’s processes and KPI’s.
Your New Role:
As Assistant General Manager, you will:
- Develop the plant’s operational budget and performance metrics.
- Enhance efficiency and safety to meet company and customer expectations.
- Oversee and audit facility functions, including Safety, HR/Payroll, Quality, Production, and Finance.
- Collaborate with the Office Manager and Shift Supervisors to improve operations for better quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with the General Manager to manage daily operations such as productivity, shipping, receiving and data entry.
- Act as the General Manager in their absence, ensuring all quality, safety, and financial target are met.
Your Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent experience.
- Background in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Preferred OSHA safety training/accreditation.
- At least 5 years of management experience in a high-volume production or warehouse setting.
- Experience managing a team of 100+ in a 24-hour production/warehouse environment.
- Safety program management experience required.
- Fluency in spoken Spanish is a strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong team collaboration abilities.
- Proven organizational and planning skills for high-volume operations.
- Understanding of P&L and budgeting processes preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business applications.
