What matters most as a hydraulics technician:
- Pay of $25-$30 / hr based on experience
- On-site position located in the Thunderbolt, GA area
- 1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday – Friday

Your new role as a hydraulics technician:
- Interpret technical documents and detailed schematics, prints and drawings for assigned tasks.
- Disassemble and assemble hydraulic components as required to affect repairs to acceptable quality standards and/or other marine classification society standards provided prior to work commencement.
- Troubleshoot, advise of failure and recommended process to repair with the desired result being the ability to resolve each issue in a timely manner.
- Run performance tests for pumps, motors, valves, winches, davits, steering systems.
- Tear down and inspect components including cylinders, pumps, motors, winches, davits.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for electro-hydraulic controls when required.
- Collaborate with other departments on estimate preparation / bids.
What you need as a hydraulics technician:
- Five or more years’ experience with the assessment, installation, testing and maintenance of marine hydraulics and ancillary systems such davits, cranes, capstans, hydraulic ramps, controllable pitch propeller hydraulics, cable reels, PLC controls, electric/electronic controls, detection, alarm sensing, indicating, and monitoring systems and equipment.
- Excellent general understanding of marine hydraulic components, machinery, electrical and other systems and their components.
- Working knowledge of open and closed loop marine hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience as a marine hydraulics technician or lead mechanical technician.
- Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers).
