What matters most as a cabinet maker:
- Pay of $20-$30 / hr based on experience
- On-site position located in the Thunderbolt, GA area
- 1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday – Friday

Your new role as a cabinet maker:
- Transfer dimensions to marine construction materials using tape measure, square and marking/layout tools & devices of all types.
- Operate stationary power tools, hand power tools and hand tools to cut, form and finish materials to yacht quality standards.
- Make accurate cuts of wood and other materials using table and chop saws and other related power tools.
- Excellent working knowledge of most woodworking joints in the marine industry, such as scarf, sill splice, lap, finger and dovetail.
- Layout, cut and assemble components, such as furniture, cabinets, decks, trim, handrails, cap rails, doors, paneling, boxes and other marine related joinery work.
- Ability to apply caulking compounds, epoxies, cements, screws and fasteners using appropriate material choices to specified or otherwise correct lengths
What you need as a cabinet maker:
- Knowledge, operation, and set-up of tape measure, square, hand saw, hand plane, table saw, and chop saw, planer, joiner, band saw, shaper, surface sander, router, vacuum pumps, and inverted router.
- 5 years cabinetry work experience desired with boatbuilding/repair experience a plus.
- Must have a complete understanding of marine grade types of hardwoods and plywood for each application; as well as types of glue to use under assembly for the intended application.
