What matters most as a marine pipefitter:
- Pay of $20-$25 / hr based on experience
- On-site position located in the Thunderbolt, GA area
- 1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday – Friday

Your new role as a marine pipefitter:
- Must be able to perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection and reassembly of pipework including the renewal or replacement of interconnected fittings, bellows, couplings, unions, adapters, etc. as commonly found in marine pipework systems.
- Familiarity with pipework systems such as fire, potable, black and gray water systems.
- Familiarity servicing & repairing various valves and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, electric) desirable.
- Experience with piping systems in PVC, CPVC, steel, aluminum, stainless steel and CuNi required.
- Experience with ViegaPress® or ProPress® systems is highly desired.
- Ability to make flange gaskets using rubber and/or other suitable materials for the intended application.
- Assemble, fit and install gasketing, then leak check all work as installed in the field.
- Ability to operate stationary power equipment, pneumatic & electric power tools and common hand tools to disassemble, assemble, torque, cut, pry, separate and break free pipework and ancillary system equipment to the relevant quality control standard.
What you need as a marine pipefitter:
- Advanced marine repair coursework and ABYC certifications highly desirable.
- 2 years + of marine pipefitting experience – ideally within a yacht or ship repair facility, or equivalent mechanical / industrial pipefitting experience required.
- Must possess the ability to periodically board vessels in and out of the water, work steadily in confined spaces, climb, lift and move lumber, tools and supplies as necessary.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, pull, push, reach, hear, near vision, kneel, talk, stand, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to walk quickly to and from job locations up to 500 yards in distance are required.
