Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to join a leading team in the industrial supply industry? We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to help manage the efficient flow of goods in and out of our Houston facility. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that our products are accurately processed, packed, and shipped, contributing to the success of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Assist in all shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials and goods within the facility.
- Package and process UPS/FedEx shipments efficiently, following company guidelines.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all outgoing products meet high standards.
- Help manage inventory, including placing shipments in the correct locations.
- Operate stretch wrap machines to securely wrap pallets of finished goods for transport.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Proven experience in creating bills of lading and processing packaging shipments.
- Familiarity with receiving products via packing slips and accurately storing shipments in proper locations.
- Hands-on experience using warehouse machinery such as stretch-wrap and twister machines.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
