- Ensure in-process inspection and evaluation of data is performed for both CMM and floor inspections to the control plans that meet customer requirements.
- Create and maintain CMM programs that meet customer requirements of inspection including the control of Master Samples.
- Assist in the creation of documents, inspection routines and capability studies for PPAP submissions.
- Assist in creating, organizing and the control of APQP documents that verify the part inspection, the process and the control and verification of revision levels including work instructions, procedures and audit preparation.
- Organize and control gage calibration system and records for MSA studies including Gage R&R.
- Assist in the analyzing of trends in data for continuous improvement of parts and their process.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for the review of product feasibility as part of engineering support.
- Employ problem solving techniques for “Team” root cause analysis in process improvements and customer complaints.
- Assist in projects that support continuous improvements in quality and the manufacturing process.
- Support the Quality Assurance Managers eating habits with a daily sandwich.
- High School Diploma
- CAD Training (Autocad (2D), Inventor (3D) or similar product i.e. Unigraphics)
- CAM Training (Surfcam, or similar product i.e. Mastercam)
- Be familiar with CMM machines (Brown & Sharpe is a plus).
- Be familiar with PC-DMIS 3.5 or better programming software for CMM.
- Blueprint reading – Interpretation and the understanding of tolerances.
- GD&T understanding and ability to interpret prints correctly that are dimensioned using GD&T tolerance.
- Familiar with Tool & Die and stamping environments.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and gage concepts used in stamping plants.
- Familiarity 3D CAD
- Other software used Powerway , Autocad , Inventor , DataPage (SPC collection and reports.)
