Direct Hire Opportunity
Pay Range: $65,000 – $95,000 / year (Depending on Experience)
Location: Dallas, TX
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, including inspectors, precision workers, machine setters, operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.
- Enforce company policies and procedures according to the corporate handbook.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations and safety procedures, or assign training to experienced workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies for workers.
- Keep records of employees’ attendance and hours worked.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, and production schedules to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates.
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services as needed.
- Maintain operations data, including time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports on production results and performance metrics.
- Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment, labor availability, and workloads.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for experience in metal fabrication.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse production team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address production challenges efficiently.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software systems (e.g., ERP, MES) and Microsoft Office Suite.
