- Develop and maintain immunization policies and procedures for new and existing staff.
- Ensure organizational vaccine protocols meet CDC recommendations for adult immunization schedules.
- Develop and conduct staff education programs on immunization practices and policies.
- Create and maintain eligibility screening and documentation policies for all clinics.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on current immunization guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate immunization policies into new staff orientation and annual requirements.
- Prepare for and participate in Immunization Program Contractor Onsite Evaluations.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public health, immunization programs, or related field.
- Thorough understanding of CDC immunization guidelines and TVFC/ASN programs.
- Experience in policy development and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic health record systems.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekends to offer a good work/life balance.
