Title: Print Production Coordinator
Pay Rate: $23 – $25/hr.
Location: Houston, TX 77074
Hours: 8am – 5pm
Duration: 1 month contract
We are currently seeking a Print Production Coordinator for one of Houston’s most trusted and progressive mental healthcare organizations, to provide temporary coverage for a one-month period while a key employee is on leave. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations in our print production department, where timely, high-quality printing and finishing are essential to meet client needs and business deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate digital print equipment, including file setup, color calibration, and imposition.
- Prepare files for print production by checking fonts, inks, and colors.
- Perform bindery, cutting, folding, and large format printing tasks.
- Handle production of finished products from digital presses to wide-format printers.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with excellent time management skills.
- Work independently or as part of a team, with attention to detail.
- Manipulate and work with PDF files effectively.
- Perform general shop maintenance as needed.
- Serve as backup for mailroom tasks, including running postage machine, assisting users with package retrieval, and distributing mail to mailboxes.
List Qualification or Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of work experience in print production or a related field.
- Proven experience in operating digital print equipment and related machinery.
- Proficiency in preparing files for print, including color calibration, imposition, and file setup.
- Strong understanding of print production processes, including checking fonts, inks, and color management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Excel and Printing software
