- Pay of $120,000-$165,000 commensurate with training and experience
- On-site position located in the Mount Vernon, New York area
- 1st shift, Monday-Friday
- Three (3) weeks paid vacation

Your new role as a machine shop manager:
- Supervise entry-level machinists, experienced machinists, maintenance machinists, and tool and die makers.
- Oversee basic electrical and plumbing installations.
- Supervise the assembly of automated machinery.
- Design automated machinery, including programming servo motors, stepper motors, relays, proximity sensors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control wiring.
- Design mechanical assembly and production machines.
- Maintain and improve existing mechanical and automated assembly machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical and automated machinery, including progressive, compound, and transfer dies.
- Identify and modify machinery to resolve existing problems and oversee continuous improvement of production equipment.
- Oversee maintenance of production and plant equipment.
- Ensure production and repair records are accurately maintained.
- Translate customer drawings into manufacturable components.
- Redraw customer designs into manufacturable components.
What you need as a machine shop manager:
- Proficiency in CAD software for 2D and 3D drawings.
- Skills in milling, turning, and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).
- Familiarity with conventional milling machines and CNC machines.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with part-making vendors.
- Understanding of tolerances and their impact on equipment.
- Respectfully listen to and consider the expertise of machinists and tool makers.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop or related mechanical engineering experience.
