Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 4:00 PM | Salary: $75K– $90K DOE
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in GAAP accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
What you will be doing as a Manufacturing Accountant:
- Prepare and analyze GAAP-compliant financial statements: Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes: Manage the full cycle of AR and AP, including invoicing, collections, and timely payments to vendors, to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Manage month-end activities for accurate reporting: Coordinate the closing process, ensuring all entries are made on time and financial results are reported to stakeholders promptly.
- Conduct account reconciliations for inventory and materials: Regularly reconcile accounts related to inventory, raw materials, and finished goods to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare cost accounting records and oversee manufacturing accounting: Maintain detailed records of production costs, including bill of materials and work in progress, to facilitate cost control and analysis.
- Collaborate with teams on inventory management and ensure compliance with internal controls: Work with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, to enhance inventory accuracy and implement robust accounting policies to safeguard assets.
What is Required as a Manufacturing Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience with inventory accounting, including raw materials and finished goods.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with M1 ERP/ ERP
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
