Litigation & Bankruptcy Specialist
As a Litigation & Bankruptcy Specialist, for a finance business in Des Moines, Iowa you will manage a portfolio of classified relationships with a focus on reducing non-performing assets. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective collection strategies, preventing write-offs, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
What You Will Do:
- Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of classified accounts,
focusing on minimizing non-performing assets.
- Collection Strategy Development: Identify and implement collection strategies for resolving troubled accounts while safeguarding assets.
- Asset Protection: Ensure the preservation and repossession of collateral under applicable laws and internal policies.
- Agency Coordination: Assign and monitor accounts placed with various collection agencies, ensuring effective follow-up.
- Legal Strategy Management: Develop and manage legal collection strategies tailored to individual accounts, including risk assessments and recommendations.
- Invoice Review: Process legal invoices and related expenses associated with litigation efficiently.
- Inbox Management: Monitor and manage functional inboxes to address inquiries and action items promptly.
What You Need:
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial transactions and workouts
- Preferred experience in collections or customer service and Negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of various resolution strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying strategies and outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills for managing diverse data and providing risk-related recommendations.
- Ability to respond swiftly in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Time management, attention to detail, a team player, self-motivated.
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with administrative tasks relating to the financial industry.
- Exposure to litigation and last-stage.
