Machine Operator
We are seeking machine operators to join our clients customized woodworking team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to perform duties in a woodworking environment. Must possess excellent technical skills and prioritize safety and precision in their work.
As a machine operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation of woodworking equipment to meet production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards in the finished products.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- On-site position located in Gastonia, NC

Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Operate and maintain various woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, routers, sanders, and drills.
- Assist in learning setup and calibration: Ability to train with setting up of machines according to specifications, adjusting settings for different wood types and dimensions. Ensure proper calibration and accuracy of equipment.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, inspecting finished pieces for defects and ensuring they meet precise measurements and standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery. Identify and report any safety concerns or hazards promptly.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot issues that arise during operations and carry out minor repairs as needed.
- Material Handling: Handle and organize raw materials efficiently, ensuring the availability of stock for continuous production.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including supervisors and quality control personnel, to maintain smooth workflow and address production challenges effectively.
Requirements:
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality control to produce accurate and high-quality wood products.
- Safety Consciousness: Strict adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks as required in a woodworking setting.
- Problem-solving: Capacity to troubleshoot machinery issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to Read Measurements: Must be able to read a standard tape measure and maintain accuracy of the design as per required specifications.
- Ability to Retain Information and Follow Instructions: Training will consist of a continual layering of information on a regular basis. Must be comfortable cross training and retaining and applying learned instructions.
- Cleaning and Janitorial duties: Must be willing to maintain a clean work environment and be flexible to assist with cleaning and janitorial duties as needed to maintain a well kept and organized professional work environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional technical training or certifications in woodworking machinery operations are a plus.
