Title: CNC Machinist
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Hours:
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM to Midnight
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Shift Differential: $2 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts
This position is open due to the growing demand for specialized mixing equipment. As a recognized leader in manufacturing for over 70 years, this Dayton facility is looking to expand its skilled workforce. The CNC Machinist will work in the manufacturing department, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. This role involves operating CNC machines to produce low-quantity, high-variety parts while ensuring quality and precision in every aspect of the production process.
Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate CNC machines (CNC lathe, CNC Mill, or 5-axis machine) independently.
· Edit programs, load, and run CNC operations with minimal supervision.
· Adjust tool offsets to meet precise tolerances.
· Utilize precision measuring equipment for quality checks and adjustments.
· Perform scheduled maintenance on machines and tools.
· Collaborate with other shift operators to optimize production efficiency.
Qualifications or Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC mills or lathes.
· Proficient in reading blueprints, programs, and sketches.
· Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control methods.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
· Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
