Temporary Bilingual Receptionist – Part-Time

Hours: Monday-Friday 1 PM –5 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Operate the switchboard functions of a computerized telephone system, including recording and selecting outgoing messages, taking messages, and facilitating communications between staff members.
- Assess calls and transfer them to the appropriate program or staff members. Greet clients and visitors, direct them accurately, and ensure all visitors sign in and receive a badge.
- Assist with general office duties, such as managing and organizing office supplies.
- Coordinate with Building Services or Support Services for pantry deliveries, mobile distributions, or maintenance requests.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Family Assistance.
- Assist with special organizational projects or events as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications or Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED equivalency or equivalent work experience.
- Two (2) years of experience handling a computerized telephone system.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Strong understanding of family assistance services, community resources, and United Way programs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team and community partners.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and handle stressful situations politely and respectfully.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in operating a computerized telephone system and other office equipment (e.g., computers, multifunction printers, fax machines, and copiers).
