Schedule: Monday – Friday 1st shift| Salary: $26-$29 an hour
What you will be doing:
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, following manuals, diagrams, and engineering specs; troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Identify and diagnose issues by observing equipment, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing tools.
- Troubleshoot production issues, make repairs quickly to minimize downtime, and maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Communicate with work teams to document and share actions, irregularities, and ongoing maintenance needs.
- Control downtime by educating production workers on preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Maintain and follow a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for assigned equipment.
- Assist in equipment rebuilding and engineering projects and perform equipment changeovers as per production schedules.
- Support operators with equipment set-ups, ensure proper operation, and adhere to safety and environmental practices.
What is required:
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting; strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, plumbing, and electrical schematics; experience with PLCs, drives, and 480V motors.
- Proficient in using hand tools and computer systems; ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Bi-lingual skills and HVAC, boiler, air compressor knowledge are a plus.
- Physically demanding role requiring the ability to lift, climb, and carry tools, welding and metal fabrication skills a plus.
