Registered Nurse II (Pre-Op)
- Call all patients scheduled for procedures in the ASCs and review their medical/surgical hx, medication list, allergies, anesthesia history, various screens dependent upon procedure and hx, update the record as needed.
- Provide education on NPO, preps to be completed, preop requirements, where to go, when to be there, medication to take/hold.
- Cares for patients Post Op and prepares patients for discharge.
- Verified medication reconciliation with the patient and provides preadmissions instructions to responsible adult.
- Responsible for conducting business and patient care activities consistent with the Center policies/procedures for patients.
- Discrete and confidential handling of all patient information, whether written or spoken, and to be ever vigilant and sensitive to where and how any patient information is shared.
- Must have active licensure under the Texas Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR, ACLS or PALS certification is required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Pre-op, ER or Infusion Therapy are required.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekends to offer a good work/life balance.
