Job Description
The Assistant Housing Manager performs responsible clerical and supervisory duties under the general supervision of the Housing Manager. This role involves supervising the collection, accounting, and deposit of tenant payments, as well as handling correspondence, reports, and tenant records. The incumbent also processes move-ins, move-outs, and evictions, ensures compliance with lease agreements, and assists with property inspections and pest control. Additional responsibilities include monitoring utilities, counseling residents, and providing administrative support to the Housing Manager as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and participate in the collection, accounting, and deposit of tenant payments, ensuring accurate records and compliance with procedures.
- Process move-ins, move-outs, and evictions, including tenant file creation, lease signing, inspections, and necessary paperwork.
- Conduct routine housekeeping inspections and assist with property maintenance, including pest control services and coordinating work orders.
- Monitor utilities for potential shut-offs, notify residents, and escalate issues to the Housing Manager as needed.
- Provide support to residents by addressing inquiries, counseling, and making appropriate referrals to human service resources.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong Communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $34,340 including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
