Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Surveillance Program Planner to oversee and facilitate partnerships with municipalities and city officials across Harris County. This role involves organizing and attending board meetings, maintaining records of partner participation, and managing interlocal agreement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage partnerships with various Harris County municipalities and city officials
- Attending/coordinating board meetings, keeping record of partners participation statuses, and processing interlocal agreements.
- Draft, review, and manage interlocal agreements specific to HC CAO guidelines.
- Maintain organized records of all contracts and manage modifications and amendments to meet regulatory changes and client specific revisions
- Act as a liaison between HCPH and stakeholders to ensure they understand the contracts
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in public health, environmental sciences, microbiology, engineering, or related field
- Basic knowledge of wastewater surveillance methodology and benefit to the community. Public speaking experience required. Basic knowledge of all Microsoft programs/software.

The Office of Epidemiology, Surveillance, and Emerging Diseases (OESED) provides disease surveillance, data analysis and interpretation, education, and guidance for healthcare providers and community partners.
