Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using welding equipment, a steady hand, attention to detail, and knowledge of various metals and their properties. Safety precautions are essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, measure components, and plan welding layouts and procedures based on specifications.
- Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, ensuring proper alignment and preparation of materials for welding.
- Perform welding tasks in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead), repairing components and filling gaps as needed.
- Inspect welded surfaces for flaws, test for quality, and maintain equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven welding experience with expertise in various welding methods (e.g., TIG, MMA) and tools (e.g., squares, calipers).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, ensuring precision in work.
- Knowledge of safety standards and commitment to using protective gear (e.g., face-shield, gloves).
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program and professional certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; CWI or CRAWL certification is a significant advantage.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
