Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance functions within the division, including implementing quality policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, customer specifications, and overall customer satisfaction. Foster positive relationships with production staff to promote a strong quality culture and awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, report safety concerns, and follow safety plans, including forklift and emergency procedures.
- Implement and audit the Company Quality Policy and Objectives, manage nonconforming materials, QMS documents, and participate in corrective actions and root cause analysis (8D).
- Operate advanced quality instruments (CMM, Faro Arm, Virtek), assist with print interpretation, process capability studies, and maintain inspection records.
- Train and supervise operators and technicians on quality procedures, assist with calibration, and support continuous improvement tasks while overseeing the Quality Clerk and Technician 1 as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1-5 years in Quality Engineering/Technician roles, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office, SPC software, and Excel; knowledgeable in GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC, PPAP submissions, FMEA, GAGE R&R, and Control Plan creation.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including stamping, laser, CNC punching, press brake, and welding.
- Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and a team player with problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, respond to inquiries, and create concise reports and graphs for management presentations.
