Job Description
As a Technical Support Services Technician, you will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of personal computer systems, with a focus on PC and software troubleshooting. You will document system maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and installations using relevant software tools. You are expected to exhibit strong judgment in customer service, foster positive customer relations, and collaborate effectively with team members. Proactively addressing and resolving technical issues is a key part of the role. You should be an independent worker with excellent self-management skills, demonstrating initiative in planning, organizing, and executing tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes service management tools, following established policy and procedures, to track and document issues, requests, incidents, and projects. Performs follow up to ensure issues, requests and incidents are resolved
- Enters time (worked and non-worked) for tickets and projects on a daily/weekly basis ensuring all time is documented according to procedures and processes
- Performs second level on-site break-fix support on customer hardware and software – including customer support and training on device and software use, installing software, assisting with new customer setups, troubleshooting IMS issues, and completing preventive maintenance on desktops and PCs
- Troubleshoots basic and advanced network connectivity situations that include the following: releasing/renewing IP addresses, releasing/renewing DNS leases, setting up DHCP addresses for printers, desktop workstations, laptops, wireless devices, and other PC infrastructure components to ensure operability and meet service and performance requirements
- Provides customer support for second level service requests and incident tickets by going on-site to resolve the customer request or issue
- Fully documents actions and resolutions into tickets
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required. Certification in one or more of the following is desirable: CompTIA, Microsoft Certifications, or ITIL/ITSM.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working as Technical Support Service Technician or equivalent
- Experience must include advanced desktop/laptop/mobile device support using current technologies and installation/configuration of end user devices
- Must also have two (2) years’ experience working in active directory and remote management tools.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
