Job Description
Play a critical role in supporting the daily coordination and monitoring of delivery activities through timely and accurate dispatch of trailers into and out of the yard when you become a dispatcher for a leading flooring and home décor distribution warehouse in Pooler, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Check-in/out truck drivers using Yard Management System
- Coordinate warehouse and transportation shipping schedules
- Perform inbound trailer inspections to ensure compliance with security protocol
- Handle and resolve conflict
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- One year of relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Yard Management System experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
