Solving Workforce Challenges in Agriculture

Versova is one of the largest egg producers in the United States, uniting family-owned farms across Iowa, Ohio, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. In late 2023 and early 2024, Versova partnered with The Reserves Network (TRN) to support their growing workforce needs, marking the beginning of a dynamic and evolving relationship. 

Challenge 

As a new client based in rural Iowa, Versova initially engaged TRN to fill an Accountant position. However, as they expanded their HR and Finance functions, they turned to TRN for additional hiring support in these critical areas. Beyond traditional corporate roles, Versova also required skilled talent for operational and specialized positions, such as industrial maintenance and production leadership, across multiple locations. Their challenge was twofold: 

  • Identifying top-tier professionals across various disciplines. 
  • Building a trusted partnership with a firm that could proactively meet their evolving hiring needs. 

Solution 

TRN took on the challenge head-on, successfully placing key hires, including: 

  • Leader of Learning & Development 
  • West HR Director 
  • West Controller 
  • Iowa Controller 
  • Executive Assistant 
  • Industrial Maintenance Specialist 

With these successful placements, TRN expanded its recruiting efforts to additional locations, including Iowa, Ohio, and the West Region. Currently, TRN is also working to fill a Business Unit leader, a Sales position based in Colorado or Washington and other production related leadership roles across the enterprise in multiple states.
