Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to cut shape or form metal work pieces. You will also be monitoring produce parts to ensure quality parts and observe and listen to machine operations to detect malfunctions.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate numerical control machine to cut, shape or form metal work pieces.
- Attaches fixture to machine bed and positions/secures work piece according to set up instructions using clamps, bolts, hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments such as rules and calipers.
- Observe and listen to machine operations to detect malfunctions.
- Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in set-up instructions. Measures work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
- May use statistical process control techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have previous manufacturing/machining experience
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Good problem-solving skills and communication
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards is a plus
- Ability to read/interpret drawings/blueprints
- Must be able to pass pre-employment tests

The base salary for this position is $18-25/hr. or more based on experience, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
