Houston Nonprofit Strengthens Community Support with Dedicated Staffing Partner
KEY METRICS
- 3-year partnership
- 142 temporary placements
CHALLENGE
During the COVID-19 pandemic, a nationwide nonprofit faced a major challenge in Houston. They needed to quickly accommodate a massive influx of bilingual individuals. This stemmed from two critical needs: running a rent assistance program that received a substantial government grant during the pandemic, and helping many refugees who had been forced to leave their homes.
The need to quickly expand operations to effectively manage these programs placed a lot of pressure on their current staffing abilities.
SOLUTION
In response to these demands, the nonprofit teamed up with The Reserves Network (TRN) to bolster their recruitment and staffing strategies. To address the sheer volume and diversity of roles required – from Data Entry and Case Managers to Driver and Traffic Controllers – we deployed multiple recruiters to focus specifically on each specialty. Biweekly meetings were set up as strategic touchpoints to continuously prioritize recruiting efforts.
Our Houston offices were also used to host large-scale job fairs, expanding the outreach of the hiring process.
RESULTS
This partnership brought significant advantages to the Houston nonprofit, reinforcing our status as a favored vendor in the Houston market. TRN’s quick response to community needs also strengthened our reputation across the country. A letter of recommendation from the client highlighted our effectiveness and has been circulated nationwide. This endorsement has opened doors to potential new partnerships, positioning TRN as a primary staffing solution for this nonprofit across various locations.
Our direct involvement and adaptable strategies have successfully addressed immediate staffing needs at this client. We’ve placed 142 temporary workers in three years. This effort has not only filled urgent roles but has established a foundation for ongoing operational success and community support for this nonprofit.
