How to Keep Your Remote Team Engaged
While some businesses are reopening after restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted, others continue to work remotely. It is important to keep your team engaged in order to remain productive, regardless of where they are currently working.
Keep employees engaged during these uncertain times in the following fun ways.
Host a Game Night
Invite your remote team and their families to come together to play Bingo, host Scavenger Hunts, or utilize other virtual game platforms like PlayingCards.io or JackBox Games.
You can even solve your way out of a Zoom call with a virtual Escape Room.
Find out what’s Binge-Worthy
Take a poll to see what television shows and/or movies the team is indulging in during their free time. Add an extra dose of fun by asking your team to include a creative photo of them enjoying their favorite show.
Spice Up Zoom Meetings
Endless virtual meetings can be monotonous. Keep things lively by having your team wear their funniest hat, favorite sports team gear, or represent your brand with their company attire.
Share “Some Good News”
Wrap up each meeting with some good news. Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or life announcements together or encourage your team to find uplifting news/videos/social media posts to share in your next meeting.
Other Ideas
Celebrate national days with your team, like sharing photos of you grilling out on National Hamburger Day or having a joke-writing contest during National Poetry Month.
Get competitive and host a talent show. Have your team submit their best talent (dancing, singing, art, etc.) to be voted on by the group. Prizes are encouraged but bragging rights are great, too.
If that isn’t your style, conduct weekly challenges. For example, ask your team who can take the best photo of Something Yellow or Something Round but only give them one hour to complete the challenge.
