TRN Hosts Women in Technology of the Heartland
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, The Reserves Network (TRN) proudly hosted the Women in Technology of the Heartland (WITH) meetup at our Omaha office. If you’ve never attended a WITH meetup, you’re missing a powerful opportunity to connect, learn, and grow. These gatherings consistently deliver fresh insights, meaningful connections, and a welcoming space to engage with some of the most driven and talented professionals in the information technology community.
WITH formed their organization in January of 2013 with approximately 30 women who were interested in starting a group that provided a fun networking forum for women to learn from and share with one another. Their mission is focused on the development and promotion of IT talent in women through mentoring and other outreach efforts. Over the years, WITH has created a strong following and continues to be an organization that has great success in helping women make key connections within the community to ultimately advance their careers. Their outreach efforts include promoting AIM Institute, Nebraska Women in Tech Summit, Nebraska Women in STEM Conference, Nebraska Tech Collaborative, Heartland Developers Conference, partnering with other local IT meetups, and serving at local charities such as the Lydia House and Omaha Food Bank.
This meetup was a huge success, with 50 people attending. They lined up an excellent speaker, Natalie Micale, Founder and CEO of Oh Hello, who spoke on building a killer brand online in 2025. She offered excellent suggestions on building an authentic, personal brand and shared how artificial intelligence (AI) is currently playing a major role in content creation and customer engagement. She also shared great suggestions on how to use AI without losing the human touch—which is so important! Natalie’s presentation was very engaging, and everyone left with new ideas to try out!
TRN was excited to open our doors and welcome the WITH community into our Omaha office for an evening of connection and celebration. Guests enjoyed delicious food, drinks, and the chance to win some fun raffle prizes to close out the night. Our information technology staffing team had a great time networking, sharing stories, and strengthening relationships within the vibrant Omaha IT community.
