Job Description
As a Chemical Room Operator, you will set up, prepare, and operate multiple process machines for production runs. You will ensure adherence to safety standards while monitoring equipment and product quality. Your role involves analyzing material proportions and performing calculations to maximize yields and minimize waste.
Responsibilities:
• Abide by and enforce all company safety standards and regulations.
• Operate and monitor equipment involved in the blending and processing of fibers and materials.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Clean and maintain machinery and work areas to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Train junior associates on safety procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required; 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency in basic math and ability to perform calculations involving rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with industrial control software and Microsoft Office applications.
