Are you looking for a way to apply your accounting skills in a new and exciting environment? Harris County Community Services Department is teaming up with The Reserves Network to seek an Accountant to join their team! As an accountant, you will manage and monitor grant budgets as well as assist in seeking reimbursement of expenditures from the granting agencies. If you are deadline-driven and have demonstrated experience with MS office suite, this position is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Support staff in general division duties for the multi-family housing development (pre-development, pre-construction, and construction)
- Prepare and process budget transfers and related transactions
- Prepare journal entries
- Perform reconciliations of budgetary and reimbursement request information
- Ensure all accounting transitions are supported with adequate description and documentation
- Track progress of projects and activities to ensure accuracy of financial systems and ensure budgets are adhered to
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookup functions
- Experience with a large complex accounting system; preferably PeopleSoft
- Familiarity with grant and fund accounting is highly desirable

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
