Job Description
The Bilingual Public Health Educator will provide specialized health information and training to various community groups and the public. In this role, you will play a key part in educating and empowering communities by delivering crucial health education initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized health education to various community groups and individuals
- Provide community-based resources and information to promote public health awareness
- Collaborate with organizations and stakeholders to enhance outreach efforts
- Maintain accurate records and reports of community engagement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Behavioral Science, Public Health, or a closely related field
- Directly related professional experience in Public Health, Education, or a closely related field may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Community Health Worker certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Knowledge of community-based programs and services
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
- Must be up to date on vaccinations
