Job Description
The CNC Lathe Setup Operator works with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal. This role may require operating horizontal boring mill and CNC vertical and horizontal lathes.
Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC lathe machines according to job specifications and blueprints
- Load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Adjust machine settings, including speed, feed, and depth of cut
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a CNC lathe setup operator
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and job specifications
- Familiarity with Mori Seki, Okuma, and Haas machines
- Must understand conversational programming and G-Code

The base salary range for this position is $25 – $28 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range in uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
