Job Description
The Auto Physical Damage Adjuster will be responsible for handling the full life cycle of first party damage claims relating to heavy semi-trucks in the commercial trucking space. Following established processes, authority limits, insurance policy language, standards and fair claims handling guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and recording First Notices of Loss and maintaining accurate claim files.
- Interpreting insurance policies and verifying coverage limits, exclusions, and effective dates.
- Providing guidance and support to insureds and truck drivers throughout the claims process.
- Coordinating inspections and obtaining fair repair estimates from shops and estimators.
- Assessing damages, reviewing repair methods, and evaluating total loss values.
- Managing salvage processes and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Analyzing liability and subrogation potential, adjusting reserves, and maintaining payment records.
- Communicating with all related parties, including insureds, attorneys, agencies, and third-party administrators.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic individual.
- One to three years of first party physical damage claims in commercial trucking a plus but not required.
- Requires excellent analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication and customer service skills a must.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
