The Data Clerk (Scanner) in the Shipping Department is responsible for scanning, digitizing, and organizing shipping-related documentation. This includes processing shipping manifests, labels, invoices, and bills of lading, ensuring all data is accurately recorded and easily accessible for tracking and order fulfillment purposes. The Data Clerk (Scanner) will collaborate with shipping and logistics teams to ensure efficient document management and timely processing of shipments.
Responsibilities:
ï‚· Scan and digitize shipping-related documents.
ï‚· Organize and categorize scanned documents for easy retrieval.
ï‚· Enter relevant data from scanned documents into the database or shipping software.
ï‚· Ensure accuracy and completeness of scanned documents and data entry.
ï‚· Track and update shipment records and documentation.
ï‚· Flag and report discrepancies or missing information to the appropriate department.
ï‚· Maintain and organize digital files according to company standards.
ï‚· Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
ï‚· Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely processing of orders.
ï‚· Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting on scanning equipment.
ï‚· Ensure all shipping documentation is properly labeled and indexed.
ï‚· Support the shipping department by assisting with document-related inquiries.
Qualifications and Requirements:
ï‚· Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating scanning equipment and familiarity with shipping software and data entry systems.
ï‚· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scanned documents and data entry, minimizing errors.
ï‚· Organizational Skills: Ability to efficiently organize large volumes of documents and files, ensuring they are easily accessible for the team.
ï‚· Communication Skills: Clear communication skills for interacting with the shipping department and reporting issues or discrepancies with documents.
ï‚· Experience: Prior experience in a shipping or logistics role, particularly with scanning or data management, is a plus

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $16.50 an hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
