Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
The Instructional Designer II (ID-II) leads the planning, design, development, and delivery of high-quality, technology-driven learning experiences. In close partnership with educational leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs), the instructional designer will deliver a range of formats, including technology-enhanced in-person, online, virtual, and blended courses, all aligned with instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and current research
What you will be doing:
- Supports learning goals by designing and developing curricula, selecting effective training formats (ILT, eLearning, blended), creating storyboards, and outlining educational plans to meet objectives cost-effectively.
- Conducts needs assessments to identify objectives for training, address gaps, and develop innovative solutions (e.g., web-based training, live virtual sessions, micro-learning) with measurable success metrics.
- Advises subject matter experts (SMEs) and educational leaders on course management, assessment, delivery methods, adult learning principles, accessibility, and inclusivity.
- Designs and updates courses in multiple formats, transforming traditional training into interactive eLearning for practical application and retention.
- Develops instructional and visual aids, including guides, infographics, quick reference materials, and handouts to support course and program goals.
- Mentor junior designers, providing guidance on best practices and supporting their professional development through feedback and training.
- Stay updated on trends and research in instructional design and educational technology.
Your New Role:
Work with the Learning and Instructional Design team on instructional design, project management, and collaborating with SMEs to create instructional materials that support curriculum transformation, innovative technology use, and improved learning outcomes.
What is required:
- Four years of experience in Curriculum mapping and eLearning development
- Experienced in using learning management systems and online course development software.
- Skilled in eLearning development software such as Storyline or Captivate.
- Experienced with Adobe and other graphic editing/production tools (e.g., Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology; Education or Business Administration or related degree
