DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?
- Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration or Business is preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
- Current Texas License and registration with the American Physical Therapy Association.
- CPR Certification.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Proven experience in managing a rehabilitation department and its budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for community outreach and physician relations.
- Knowledge of current clinical standards and evidence-based practices in rehabilitative care.
WHAT WILL YOUR SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
The Director of Physical Therapy will play an integral role on the hospital's leadership team, managing all department functions, including inpatient and outpatient care. This position focuses on upholding clinical and operational protocols, ensuring alignment with hospital guidelines, and incorporating evidence-based methods. In addition to managerial responsibilities, the Director will provide direct patient care, conducting evaluations, screenings, and treatments within their professional scope. Furthermore, the Director will foster strong connections with the medical community, particularly with referring physicians, and promote the department's services through delivering exceptional care and educational outreach initiatives.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Lead the Rehabilitation department and serve as a member of the hospital’s leadership team.
- Compile and analyze reports, statistics, and maintain the department’s budget.
- Maintain and update clinical and operational standards to ensure alignment with hospital policies and evidence-based practices.
- Direct and support staff, providing strategic leadership and implementing best practices.
- Develop and enhance departmental programs for both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services.
- Build and sustain a strong referral base through physician outreach and community education.
- Foster community awareness of rehabilitation services through the delivery of high-quality care.
