Job Description
The Director of Total Rewards Compensation & Benefits will have overall leadership responsibility for the compensation, benefits, recognition, and talent analytics and technology team. Reporting to the CHRO, this role will drive the strategy and execution of compensation and benefits programs, partnering with key business stakeholders to attract and retain top talent while ensuring employee well-being through a comprehensive, innovative approach. You will lead a team of two (2) and continuously improve the company’s total rewards offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs (base pay, incentive pay, medical, dental, life, disability insurance, 401K, etc.)
- Provide expertise, support, and consultation on compensation and incentive matters, ensuring best practices are followed
- Work with external brokers and suppliers to administer benefits systems and programs
- Partner with HR Business Partners and General Managers to design and implement benefit and compensation plans across the company
- Lead the simplification and streamlining of HR operations processes, ensuring a seamless employee and manager experience
- Drive the evolution of compensation and benefits strategies to enhance employee value propositions and retention efforts
- Foster a culture of belonging and growth within the Total Rewards and HR operations teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in compensation and employee benefits within large or mid-market organizations
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and business acumen
- Proven experience managing compensation and benefits programs, including vendor management and regulatory compliance (e.g., EEO, ERISA)
- Ability to engage with all levels of employees, from operational roles to senior executives
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to build partnerships internally and externally
- Experience in leading teams with a focus on development, growth, and inclusive leadership

The base salary range for this position is $175,000–$190,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
