Job Description
An outstanding organization in Des Moines is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join their Statutory Accounting Team! This is an integral member of a team that not only supports and leads staff members but is needed to build relationships and bridges between other functional business units in the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage staff of 3 individuals
- Collaborate with other business unit leaders
- File quarterly and annual STAT statements
- Financial statement preparation and review
- General ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- STAT accounting and finance experience required
- Management/leadership experience required
- CPA is preferred
- SAP is preferred (or other ERP systems)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting

The base salary range for this position is $100,000–$110,000 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
