Job Description
Are you an experienced forklift operator skilled in working with lumber? Join a team in Savannah, GA, and play a vital role in supporting a lumber yards’ daily operations. This position offers a steady 1st shift schedule, competitive pay, and a chance to build a long-term career. You will pick and pull lumber orders, fill orders, load lumber onto pallets and vehicles, and work outside.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials according to weight specifications.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Safely handle and transport materials in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory by scanning and logging items.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure timely task completion.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven forklift experience, including expertise in loading by weight (certification preferred).
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and safety standards.
- Reliable transportation and availability for the specified schedule.
- Lumber yard experience is a plus.
