Gear Hobber
Pay Rate: $18-28 per hour.
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Hours: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
As a Gear Hobber, you will be setting up and operating gear hobbing, gear shaping, key seating and broach machines safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate gear hobbing, gear shaping, key seating and broach machines.
- Work from blueprints and use measuring device including tape measure, caliper and micrometers.
- Ability to run multiple machines at once.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of setting up and operating Gear Hobber, Broach, Key Seating and/or Gear Shaping machining experience is needed.
- Ability to inspect own parts.
- Ability to read a ruler, micrometer, caliper.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and know shop math.
- Attendance and dependability are crucial.
