Job Description
As a Grinder Machinist, you will be responsible for precision grinding operations on metal components to ensure high-quality manufacturing. You will operate and maintain grinding machines, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a team environment to meet production goals. Responsibilities
- Operate surface, cylindrical, and/or centerless grinding machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools to ensure quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of grinding equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience as a grinder machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
