Job Description
Assemble mechanical units, fabricated part, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and gates using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, welders, and other equipment. Flame-straighten gate and balance gate system using analytical thinking, electronic measuring devices, welders, and hand tools to achieve all customer and company requirements for gate system performance. Disassemble unit for the painting.
Responsibilities:
- Flame treats gate to straighten frame and pickets as needed.
- Utilizes fixtures, jigs, cranes, welder and hand tools to assemble gate to operator, build wind bracing, install counterweights, secure component parts in place safely and correctly.
- Weld, assemble, disassemble components safely and effectively.
- Operates equipment safely and per manufacturers and client’s requirements or specifications.
- Operates controls to assess motor and gate performance. Adjusts settings to achieve desired amperage draw and gate opening and closing timing and performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to three years’ experience and/or training in similar manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability and experience in reading, understanding, and following blue prints and written instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, above average math skills.
- Proficient in electronic testing, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and consistently perform to meet specific deadlines.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.

The base pay range for this position is $22-36 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
