Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and conducting timely repairs to minimize downtime. They maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, assist in equipment rebuilding, and support production teams by ensuring proper equipment setup and changeovers. The role also involves adhering to safety and environmental regulations, maintaining a clean work environment, and adapting to shifting priorities and challenging conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical equipment, using diagrams, manuals, and precision instruments to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, document actions and issues, and communicate with work teams to ensure continuity and resolve irregularities.
- Control downtime by educating production workers on routine maintenance techniques and monitoring their compliance with procedures.
- Support equipment rebuilding, engineering projects, and timely changeovers to meet production schedules, while assisting operators with proper equipment set-up.
- Comply with safety practices, maintain a clean working environment, and adapt to shifting priorities and challenging conditions as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Provide personal hand tools to perform job duties and communicate effectively in both verbal and written English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and use a computer to support job functions.
- 2+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic systems; boiler and air compressor knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical, plumbing, and electrical schematics, and troubleshooting control circuits.
- Experience with wiring 480-volt motors, troubleshooting PLCs, drives, and other hardware; welding and metal fabrication skills are a plus.
- Physically capable of handling strenuous and repetitive tasks, including climbing, lifting, and carrying a tool backpack.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $23.00 -$28.00 hourly not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
