Job Description
An industrial maintenance technician is a skilled worker responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment within a manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth operation by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and making necessary repairs to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, all while adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, hydraulic and/or pneumatic components on injection molding equipment.
- Plan, implement and maintain preventative maintenance program on engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems and production machines in order to improve reliability.
- Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.
- Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required. Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- 3+ year of experience in an injection molding machine position (required)
- Mechanical capability to repair and/or analyze production equipment
- Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, manuals and assembly directions
- Proficient communication skills – particularly, the ability to explain complex mechanical issues
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work, such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting and bending for extended periods of time
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & background screening

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $26-30 an hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
