Job Description:
As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in capturing and understanding business requirements at a user story level, collaborating with Agile development teams, and defining improvements to business processes and products. This position involves working closely with Product Owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business teams to define and write detailed test cases, business artifacts, and user stories.
You will use your technical expertise and analytical skills to make informed decisions, improve business processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Quality Assurance (QA) to define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Analyze and document business processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Research and evaluate business needs, identifying opportunities for process improvements or new solutions.
- Assist decision-makers with gathering information to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company and department practices, procedures, and Agile methodologies.
- Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive data.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must Have –
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience, including business analysis or project management.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong documentation and testing skills.
- Proficiency with tools like DevOps, JIRA, or Rally.
- Advanced problem-solving and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
Preferred –
- Knowledge of property/casualty insurance, including rating and policy coverages.
- Familiarity with continuous delivery/integration practices.
- SQL knowledge.
- Experience with business artifacts and Agile workflows.

The Pay Rate for this position is $45.00 – $56.00 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
