DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
- Strong experience in data architecture, including the design and management of large-scale data infrastructures in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala, or Java and expertise in SQL
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka
- Extensive knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift)
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
WHAT WILL YOUR SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
As the Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and overseeing the client’s data systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will lead a team of data engineers and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to align data strategies with business objectives. Your leadership will be key in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of their data platform.

- Data Architecture & Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable data pipelines, architectures, and frameworks to support business needs.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of key data engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery within defined timelines and business objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, and key stakeholders to ensure data systems support decision-making and operational needs.
- Technology Leadership: Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies to keep data infrastructures aligned with best practices and future requirements.
- Data Governance: Ensure data systems comply with governance standards, data privacy regulations, and internal policies.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize data infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
