Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you are responsible for mixing chemical batches by following standard formulas, applicable instructions and current standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Review daily mix schedules and ensure the raw materials required are available
- Follow mix instructions and accurately add raw materials to the mixes manually, using pumps or mixing systems
- Perform routine observation of product during the mixing and filling process to ensure batch quality. Report any out-of-spec raw material, premixes or mixed batches and consults with Quality personnel on any batch adjustments
- Properly clean out all mix tanks
- Operate for trucks, palletizers, scales, pumps and other material handling equipment to transport raw material and finished product
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma, Ged or equivalent
- 1 year of mixing experience (chemical mixing a plus), experience working with systems, pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and tracking mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc)
- 1 year of experience performing basic Quality Control tests (take samples, perform pH tests)
- Must be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately completed related documents
- Must be able to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials and finished goods

The base salary range for this position is $25 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
