Job Description
The Machine Shop Manager will supervise a diverse team of machinists and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical and automated machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise entry-level machinists, experienced machinists, maintenance machinists, and tool and die makers
- Oversee basic electrical and plumbing installations
- Design automated machinery, including programming servo motors, stepper motors, relays, proximity sensors, and programmable logic controllers
- Identify and modify machinery to resolve existing problems and oversee continuous improvement of production equipment
- Translate customer drawings into manufacturable components
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proficiency in CAD software for 2D and 3D drawings
- Skills in milling, turning, and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
- Familiarity with conventional milling machines and CNC machines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop or related mechanical engineering experience

The base salary range for this position is $120k-$165k, excluding benefits, bonuses or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range in uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
