Job Description
As a skilled manual Machinist with experience operating horizontal lathes and Bridgeport style mills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, the ability to interpret blueprints and commitment to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual horizontal lathes and Bridgeport milling machines to produce precision components
- Measure and inspect finished components using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations, dimensions and tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure they operate efficiently
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience operating manual horizontal lathes and Bridgeport-style mills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, layouts, sketches, or work orders to assess workpiece specifications and to determine tools and materials needed and sequence of operations
- Ability to use precision measuring tolls and equipment
- Prior experience in a precision machining environment is preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours per day

The base salary range for this position is $24.00-$28.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
