Job Description
As a Materials Handler, you'll operate propane forklifts and assist with crane operations to move, stage, and manage materials throughout the production floor. You’ll play a key role in supporting production flow by loading and unloading coils, supplying materials, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in your work area.
As a Materials Handler, you'll operate propane forklifts and assist with crane operations to move, stage, and manage materials throughout the production floor. You’ll play a key role in supporting production flow by loading and unloading coils, supplying materials, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in your work area.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport pallets, materials, and finished goods
- Use cranes to load/unload coils to and from decoilers and deliveries
- Stage raw materials and packaging at presses, remove and wrap finished skids; empty scrap hoppers
- Replace propane tanks as needed
- Assist with weighing materials and tagging weights
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing setting
- Coil handling and crane experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow safety rules and production procedures
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions and work well with others
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

The base salary range for this position is $19/hr. (+7.5% shift diff), excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
